F0192_0061.jpg - I found the roof panels at a lumber store that didn't know what to do with them; so they sold them to me at a bargain price. The store didn't have the matching ridge caps, so I had to guess what to order. I had a choice of the deeply ribbed style that is shown in the picture or a flat style that is more conventional. In retrospect, I would have been better off with the flat style. The panels were distorted when I cut them, and the rib caps were distorted when they were bent to form the ridge line. As a result, the ribs on the panels didn't fit into the ribs on the roof caps, so everything had to be forced into alignment. That's no easy task when you are crawling around on a slippery roof! One other gotcha: the lumber store told me the wrong color to order for the caps; so I had to paint them to match the panels. So much for bargains!
