  F0195_0010.jpg - Here the observatory has been painted to match our house. I used a stain on the pine siding so that the wood grain could be seen; but I used paint on the trim. Note the tar paper on the ground. It isn't pretty, but it does help keep me from tracking dirt into the observatory.
